    5.3L, LS6 intake, shaved 862s, 10:1 CR, 3.73 gears... I'd go with a 226/228 .563/.569 112 LSA +3. Then get a 3000+ stall and you'll be good!

Compression drops with a tighter cam.

114, a little choppier idle than the 116. The 116 will be almost stockish. The 116 will allow the power to come in a little earlier than the 114.

Still, go 224. Seriously. You don't wanna be the guy who goes with a cam then wishes he went bigger.

No - it's the opposite. A narrower LSA will have an earlier intake valve closing event, which is the same as advancing the cam. The 112 LSA allow the power to come in a little earlier, it will have a peakier power curve, and the power will fall off a little earlier than a 114 LSA. But the 112 LSA may make a little more peak power due to the increased overlap.

Yeah, yeah. I have been doing that a lot lately. I am thinking one thing and typing the other. Like when I was talking about Ian's rocker problem. I was wanting to talk about the cylinders at the back of the motor (#7 and #8 obviously), but I said #4 and #8.

Yeah I'd get something with a 114LSA if you don't like the lopey idle! TR220 would be a good cam.
