This is how my current one is mounted. You could go in the same spot, or (probably a better option and what I was planning on doing) go closer to the passenger side of the bed for more weight over your rear tire.

will it basically bolt in, maybe with a little persuasion? or will there need to be some fairly involved fab work to get it to go in? cutting, grinding, welding... anything like that?
