    In the list of things needed they show a cable brack but no part number do I need this or not.

    Come on someone do I need this or not. Was going to start on it this week but at 25 outside and I only heat the shop when I am out there I will wait tell next week. So do I need this or not?

    Couldn't find a part number, but look about 3/4 the way down the page for Number 89B or 91.

    Found it thanks. Now how do I know witch one. Can you tell me were to find the date for the trans. It is supposed to be an 04.

    Look at the cooler line ports. If stacked one on top of another, its an older one. If they are front-to-back, then its a newer one. I also think the 97+ trannys have a really long shift lever shaft.

    It is an older one. Is the any cable that goes in them like the old 350 had for passgear or the 700r had? Was looking at it today and did not see any.

    15 Degrees? EFF a bunch of that!

    Well, I would think its obvious which one to get. If the shaft is shorter than the one in the pic on the website I linked you to, then go with the short shaft bracket.

    The difference between the brackets is how far out from the tranny the shifter cable is held....in relation to the distance of the length of the shifter shaft.
