    DFW to SAR caravan

so i tried to post this last night, but when i hit post... either the site or my connection quit and lost all the info LOL! anyways....

i was looking back at last year for the cruise from DFW area down to San Antonio. i just google zoomed in on the general area that Virgil set up and was the meeting point last year (i-35 area). i found a large parking lot with plenty of room for people to meet in just south of last years meeting spot.

from the north if youre on I-35e you would exit pleasant run and stay on the service rd, which is also N. Beckley Ave. at the corner of N Beckley Ave and Pleasant Run, there is a Chevron Gas Satation. the adress of the gas station is 959 N. Beckley Ave, Desoto, TX, 75115. it would be a good spot to gas up and hit the road.

just South of Pleasant Run and N Beckly Ave intersection (a couple hundred feet) there is a large open parking lot near a t-mobile and starbucks. it would be a good meeting area.

i was thinking to miss the Austin traffic meeting around 12-1 would be a good time. But this could change depending on Oklahoma, W Texas and Eastern guys if they want to meet up etc etc...

    thoughts? questions? suggestions?

and also like i posted in the SAR thread. i have plenty of room in the tow rig if someone wants to cut gas costs and keep the miles off their own vehicle. along with splitting hotel room costs, once all that is finalized... shoot me a PM

    EDIT:

we will be leaving NO LATER THAN 11am.

We are heading earlier like 11ish on Friday...going anywhere near Austin in the 2-3:00 area will suck...best to go through there before 2. That means all the others heading out before then just need to get their asses in gear sooner

Think about possibly hitting the 130 toll and basically completely missing austin as far as the caravan is concerned. You start up in Georgetown on like highway 29, and get shot out in Buda by Cabelas. Pretty awesome freeway system and NEVER busy. But it does cost money. If you drive thruogh it, it just mails youa bill. It will most likely only cost around 5 bucks to use the whole tollroad

x2 on the toll road. Plus you get a chance to make a ton of freeway pulls with no traffic...

If you have a Texas Toll tag then it will just charge that account. If you don't have a tag it just mails you a bill.
