    update.

got everything back in late tuesday, installed the spacer and 80e flexplate, got the converter spacing right, new seals, and a new shaft o-ring.

there was a puddle of tranny fluid on the floor after a minute of running it. this thing is going to be the death of me.

so tranny is back on the floor of the garage, I looked at it as good as I could while it was running and its coming out of the front seal. hope it doesnt run too much to fix, Ii'm going to take my 2 converters and the tranny to a shop on monday and have them find out what will work.

Mine did the same thing after I cracked a bell housing. The misalignment tore up the front pump bushing so it allowed the converter to push out of position just enough that it wore out the front seal. It poured a stream of fluid out when running.

Rebuilt front pump and a weld repair on the bell housing crack fixed the problem on mine.

Your previous converter issue probably wore out the front pump bushing.
