    bad news pulled the oil pan and found gunk up oil and metal shavings . i also cut the filter and found the same so i think the 6.0 out and the 4.8 is going back in . do you think the 4.8 will have bad street manners with the tr 224 thats in the 6.0?oh with out a stall, that might have to be put on the back burner for a month or my bother can recover from the holiday expenses.

    Yikes. Not good. The 6pointOh could be used for a 370 build.

    The 4.8L will be a DOG below 4k RPMs or so with that cam and stock converter....

    here's the carnage !!!!!!


    took a risk and replaced all the rod bearings and what do ya know no knock and i have oil pressure . let's hope it all works out i'am ready to beat on it 1. one good thing came out of this , now i have enough glitter to paint a boat!!!!

    it was just the #6 rod that had damage,the rest had normal wear. by the way the crank was not scared which suprised me .

    my brother just got back from a 700 mile road trip in the truck still running strong .
