hey guys, i have a 99 NBS silverado with the 5.3
I found a LS1 engine out of a corvetter local without the intake manifold and wiring harness with 9,000 miles for $1,500...
is this a good deal?
how easy would it be to swap it into my truck?? isnt it just all plug and play?
let me know what else i need to swap the motor besides the engine...thanks guys
It is a direct swap. You will have to move the accessories and intake from your old motor to the new. The original PCM and wiring harness will work. You will need to have the PCM re-tuned to take advantage of the new displacement.
No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106
