They not only target vehicles, I just had one leave today.
SOB stole an item off the front desk!

After they were gone, we noticed we were missing the item, got his dumbass on video too! Got 9 cameras around the shop and dvr.

I called them on the cell phone once they were long gone (very lucky bastard) and because I only claimed to have him on video did he admit to "taking" the item.
He said he thought they were free, even though they were wire tied to the hook and we had "$12.95" on the board.
After a bunch of trash talking back and forth, I just decided I was going to Austin to pick up my stolen item, he insisted he pay for it and give me a cc# instead of me retrieving the item.
I went to Austin, went looking for it, but they were gone, I'm debating on going up there tomorrow as well.

As far as I'm concerned, he can keep it, because if I ever see him...

So YES, they are out; all over the place just looking to put their sticky hands on something that doesn't belong to them, so watch out!

All this over a stupid key chain his sorry ass couldn't afford!

I feel ya on the thieves stuff. Somebody broke into my company truck at the mall in rock springs and took my fucking ipod. Broke out the back window for a ipod nano, wtf. I'm with you guys, I usually carry a pistol on me and if I ever catch anybody breaking into my shit they are toast.

Screw theives! after my motor blew a few days ago I had my truck sitting in front of my house for a couple of days not moving and the day and instant I go and try to take the system out before it got stolen, it was gone....DAMN BASTARDS!!!!!!!, Cut through my alarm and jimmied the door. I didnt have my face on the deck though so that stayed and they didnt jack the PLX, so the dipwad didnt know that my gauges were worth more than the system.
