    a relay is only for when u have ur HIDs on ur high beam, u should be fine!

    Not always. Dodge thought it was a good idea to only supply the headlights with 9V, so you need a relay to get the ballasts the proper voltage. Now, he doesn't have a Dodge, but many people don't like to trust the factory wiring to aftermarket accessories.
