Sounds like a little bit of everything is making noise for you, I would give everything in you engine bay a good once over and eliminate any obvious issues. When you have the verter unbolted, take your belt off too and start it up and see what happens.
I wouldn't be surprised if it wasnt a verter bolt or a flex plate hitting sumtin.
Can you get a video of what it sounds like?
