    New BUILD

alright guys. since i sold off my other project. I had to buy another. I bought a beat up 05 RST GMC 4.8 5speed in July of this year. I still had parts left that i didnt want to part with from the last project. I had a set of heavily ported and polished 243's with patriot springs, ARP rod bolts, big ole custom grind comp cam. When i bought the truck i put a set of LT headers on it and just put on a spintech muffler kicked out the side. I also installed a harris speedworks wet kit on it. Made my own CAI. And recently trashed the 5 speed so i got me a t56. All the parts for the T56 swap got in today, so thats gonna go in this weekend.(fingers crossed). And then today i was just browsing online and came across a 6.0 shortblock. So i had to get me it. Ill be picking that up next week sometime. Project is starting to come along nicely. Im thinking of getting an ls6 intake to put on as well. and a set of 4.88's and locker. its a long drawn out process but im getting there. Im just super excited and had to rant about my new setup.

alright little update. took the old tranny out 2night. having a little trouble disconnecting the slave cylinder from where it connects at the resevoir. how do i disconnect the line. also, the line from the current nvg slave connects differently than the t56 slave. how did you guys solve this problem? use a different line? i can get pics if needed.

alright i figured it out laaate last night. i had to do the old walk away and come back. i figured out there were push pins that held the lines in place. got that all squared away and the old hole in the floor covered up. i should be able to get the rest finished up tomorrow if all goes right. anyone else who as done the swap, did you have to shorten your driveshaft? i think im going to have to have this done. That might be the only think holding me up from finishing up tomorrow. also when going from 5 to 6 speed, the wiring, what gets used and what doesnt?
