    2001 4wd Tahoe trans problem - Ignition screwy too

    Put tranny in a 4wd tahoe today and the speedo doesnt work and it wont shift out of first. A ideas?

    VSS isn't plugged in or is broken.

    It is in the transfer case on a 4wd correct? the guys working with me put a new chain in the tcase as well. If they got the 2 sensors in the back backwards could that cause this problem? Both the sensors have the same plug in.

    The ignition is acting up too. Im thinking this may be the problem. Any insite?

    WHOA WHOA WHOA...someone "mixed up the sensors with the same connector?" Whoever it was--SLAP THE SH!T out of them and swap the sensors. Make sure they are connected properly.
