Windage tray issue

I purchased an LQ4 from my friend and he was going to drop it in a camaro so he swapped the pan, oil pump pick-up, and windage tray. I was going to use my hardware off the old 5.3 but my windage tray has like 2 small holes in it from pieces of the #7 piston being blown through it. I don't think it should be an issue because it has little holes all the way around for the oil to drain down but just wondering if anyone knew anything about it. Should I look for another windage tray?
