I think the alt of that year will work.. I know it will bolt on. But you might want one with more power. The power steering will work, and the AC with a modified s10 bracket can work. I dont know about the starter.
If you get a SD tune, or want a relocated IAT sensor, you can use the one from it too. Thats how My 4.3/6.0 swap is going anyhow.
Mine is a 97 v6 though. Im kinda sure the v6 stayed about the same. Basically a short cut sb.
