1.) Why would you spend $5000 on a motor and then buy a factory cam intended for a 3300 pound car?

2.) Where have you heard that an ls6 is too much for a larged cubed motor.

If you really are going with a 408 setup, get a custom ground cam for it. The ls6 cam is a good turbo cam, but that's about it. There is much to be desired in many aspects with it in an n/a truck build.
