    clearance issues????

ok guys i'm thinking of changing up my setup a little. i am currently running a 04 lq4, i am using a set of p&p heads 317 castings and they have not been milled and i am thinking of using this cam. Camshaft Specs: 229*-236*-111*-.630"-.630" my question is will i have any piston to valve clearance issues using this much lift, if not how much do you guys think i could mill my heads cuz i also want to bump up the compression ratio a little also. or is this setup just way to far fetched

The only way to know for sure is to check it. Then you'll have to get shorter pushrods as well

Wowsers....big cam...even for a 6.0L. What stall you plan on running?

As far as the PTV, there are simple standards to go by:
Intake PTV should not go below .080" (if you are at .060" then machining valves reliefs is required).
Exhaust PTV clearance should not go below .100" (if you are at .075", etc then machining valve reliefs is required).

I would call the cam manufacturer and find out what the PTV is on stock, unmilled 317s. Then take that number and subtract the amount to where you will be borderline on the PTV. THAT will be the amount you can mill the heads.

haha it's huge but i want to build a monster. and to be honest i'm a huge fan of smaller cams but for some reason this cam caught my eye. thanks for the info this will help a lot, and as far as stall i'm running a circle d c4 3800 triple disk

    Well, the converter this there.

I do not see any reason why it all wouldn't work.

    Other supporting mods?
