The G80 unit (along with Eaton and Auburn LSDs) use bands/clutches. If you use synthetic or any additive, it can slip in operation will not let the LSD work as designed.
NOW, if the LSD in question was a Detroit TrueTrac, then I would recommend using a good synthetic like Royal Purple...
