Mine was like that at first and I also had Allen retune mine so the 1-2 part throttle shifts were softer. I'm sure he can get yours alot better if not perfect.
Got the Nelson (re)retune this evening w/ the shift adjustments and gave it a drive. You were right, Allen pretty well nailed it for me!
Allen dialed it in so well i will probably make some shift firmness adjustments in a couple weeks. Since that servo check valve really does a nice job, will definitely open up the 2-3 VB feed hole slightly from .120" to .1285" (#30 bit). This will be fine since i lost some of the initial 2-3 firmness w/ due to Allen's tweaks; i don't consider that a problem though.
May now add a one TG spacer to the 1-2 accumulator (none in there now), but no messing w/ the 1-2 VB feed hole. I'm not 100% sure on this one. Need to drive around for week or so before finally deciding on the spacer.
Finally, props to Allen Nelson big time! Allen knew i was in tough position w/ the hard shifting, and really showed trust in me by sending out the retuned PCM before he had even received my current core. Obviously i would not expect this special treatment under normal circumstances, but he really came through for me in this case!
