i heard outlaw is an awesome intake. i never knew they had such a huge nutsack hanging off of them...

quick question. why would you need caltracks? a 4.8 without any "major" performance mods with a camper shell should get plenty traction. unless you have something your not telling us about
So far so good w/ it for me. I was impressed by the product simply because their technical details actually had some scientific validity.

That nutsack [snicker] is a Hemholtz resonator bottle. It's akin in theory to those tuned "snorkel tubes" you find on motorcycle engines. The one on the Outlaw is tuned to provide a "boost" at about 3500 RPM. Just from a SOTP feel it does seem to work as advertised.

No, nothing secret on my little 4.8. My interest w/ the Caltracs is not so much "holeshot" traction, cause you're correct i don't have that problem. But, there are times when i become the "designated tower" for road trips, as much as 7000 lbs. My application for the Caltracs is to eliminate spring wrap-up and keep things lined up when the drive train is under load. I figure the ~$300 cost is like an insurance policy for my weak-ass 10 bolt rear end, u-joints, drive shaft, etc. Plus, an installed set does look really trick

Remember that cool video one of the guys posted showing the underside of his truck while driving? It amazing how much the rear end rotates even under moderate load.

Finally, when i swap in a new whatever LSx in the future, will be ready for the extra power
