    Spare tire

My spare tire and the assembly fell off my truck. The bolt backed out. I got it fixed but not completely. Since I put my receiver hitch on the tire wouldnt fit tightly. I think it bounced around and backed the bolt out. Anyone else have a problem with the spare being loose after the receiver hitch was put on?

no. You have to guide the tire up, so it doesnt hit the hitch. you might have to flip the tire around, you want the "face" pointing down.

Yeah I know I kinda gotta push it towards the truck and face it down. The end of the cable that's attached to the rim is at a really bad angle when all the way up and doesnt snug up all the way. i can barely touch the tire and it bounces around... may just need the new assembly

One must lower the tire to get the hitch to bolt up as well hence the possible genesis of the failure.

I lowered the tire to install the hitch.....then pushed the tire forward a little bit so I could raise it and not hit the hitch. but It wont get tight and i'm prettty sure the tire should not swing freely when raised all the way back up.
I took the hitch off and raised the tire up and it swings freely as well. I think the spare tire assembly is junk...

Yeah I have a spare tire even with my welded in role pan, hidden hitch, hotchkis sway bar, and flowmaster dual exhaust!
