ok service but im not too happy with nelson's product at all. First off it took almost a month to get my harness. Second, I ordered the engine harness and e-fan harnesses assuming that all the accessories plugs and whatnot would be on a complete harness. Wrong! i essentially paid out the ass for a few pieces of wire and some plugs. I had to splice my old factory harness in to make everything work right and im still working out kinks in it. I was not expecting this and it added hours of work to the swap. I was hoping it would be a simple plug and play by ordering it from them. If I had known that it was not a complete harness I would have never bought it from them and I would have either bought from painless or made my own as it would have been cheaper, better and quicker!

First of all, what is your name so I can look into this?
    Is this Alex?

All harnesses go out of here within a week!!!

There was one harness that sat here for a couple weeks, but more on that later.

No, we do not offer an engine harness with fans integrated into it.
We offer an engine harness and we offer a fan harness.

It doesn't matter what harness you buy, if we don't have your stock harness or chassis harness, you have to spice and make things work on your end.
How are we supposed to perform all that without your truck here?

The only two wires we supply, for gauges, are the tach and speedo outputs.
All the other gauges, you're on your own!!
The water temp, the alt gauge, and the oil pressure.

You did get a complete harness, you got a non emissions harness that will run your engine and trans! That is exactly what you ordered!
You also got a fan harness that runs two fans, that are activated by the a/c and pcm.

It sounds like you got into something that was a little more involved.

Swaps aren't just plug and play, there's wiring and more details than I can type.

btw, a painless harness is no where near as easy as ours to install.

shoot me a pm or reply,

    allen

i would assume, that if i had bought a wiring harness, it would be, for the most part, just a matter of routing the wires and plugging in everything, thats alot of work in itself. i might expect one or two controls to not have a plug, but the entire harness? anyways, one thing i would surely do is make sure i knew what i was buying.

it's exactly that, you plug in all the sensor connectors, provide power, ignition and ground, route the power wire to your fuel pump, connect the two pcm connectors to the pcm, and you're done.

the entire harness is complete and has every connector end you need to get your engine and trans running.
there is no extra wiring required unless you're installing gauges or another harness.

    it is that easy!

I guess difficulty and ease of installation depends on the installers experience.

btw, should have made a new post about this instead of crapping on this guys thread.

I still want a straight answer on this, what do you mean :

"that all the accessories plugs and whatnot would be on a complete harness."

what was missing from the engine harness??? it has every connector needed to start the engine.

the more i read this, the more i get upset with your comments, you paid out the ass for a few pieces of wire and plugs, what?!!! you paid for a complete engine harness, that is exactly what you got.

splicing into the harness and making your old harness work with the new isn't covered with purchasing a new harness.

the harness is as simple as it gets, but does require you to actually push the connectors on and wire up power, ignition and ground.

You mentioned this again at the end of your post, so what was incomplete about the harness?????????????????????????????????????

    Redheartbeat,

Can you please tell this guy Allen to get out of my post? LOL

    Allen,

Dude, everyone have an opinion, as everyone have buttholes..so cross check those.....

For the signature of this guy "ALL BUILD, NOT BOUGHT"...naahhh, c'mon, me been a cosmetologist could install like 4 times my engine, and plug all those miles of cables, just with ur instructions. Now these guy must be lower in the scale of knowledge and craftmanship.

If he want's plug& Play, buy an USB memory stick, and keep surfing the web, and get out of mechanic and motors, seem's like is not ur turff.

And again, each time I decide a proyect, and buy something from nelson performance, BEFORE I purchase, Bugs this guys the hell out of their patience, to just make myself clear of what I'm gonna get.

Kind of a Space mission, here I don't have a second chance, probably u do, but u shold practice my system, works every time...."If I'm so IGNORANT, I always ask until it's water clear"

if he's paying his ass for a couple of harness...maybe is not that worth it. LOL

Back to MY POST, Thanks Again Allen, and hope we can finish soon our 2 new great projects...later dudes !!!

What exactly do you expect? A harness from Nelson clearly states that it is plug and play. Do you expect him to go over every vehicle with a fine tooth comb from miles away and get every single gauge and electronic thing that you have wired(that he may or may know about, considering the aftermarket)? You DO have to put in a little work to get some of the things going. Not all wiring is going to be identical if you're swapping an engine. Some wires may need to be longer for one person than for another. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything here, but take a little ingenuity and wire the few remaining things yourself.

I personally build and test every harness that leaves this shop. A engine harness is not built until I speak with the customer. No emissions, no a/c connections, 4 wire hook up, controls engine and transmission only. I always tell every customer these 5 things. I'm curios to find out who purchased this harness also. Feel free to contact me and Mel will come get me out of the shop.
