possible good use for Tb spacer?

So for my machining class at school were working with lathes and drilling and tapping. Well I have a useless Tb spacer on my shelf and have been wondering if it'd be possible to machine down the center bore so it was smooth instead of the spiral, and drill and tap holes into the top where I could screw nitrous and fuel fittings into and make my own plate setup? I found these on the internet and thought I could drill the holes all the way through the spacer and use 2 of these to direct my fuel and nitrous. Just a thought...im open to any comments!

nitrous plates have "vents" machined into the smoothed area, basically just holes drilled up to the fittings im sure it would work just not sure how well.

Thanks G..i know that you, jon and virgil are the top guys who know about spray on here, I guess I'll give it a try, and just start out with smaller shots (50-75) and see how it works.
