    trans temp gauge

My '02 Tahoe LT does not have a trans temp gauge. I was looking at Digital Dash Solutions on ebay and was looking at their new clusters for my truck. In the description it says if your present cluster doesn't have the trans temp gauge you can put in the new cluster and the trans temp gauge will work, that the "above mentioned trucks" (which include my Tahoe) are pre-wired from the factory for this feature. Does that mean that just plugging the harness into the cluster will make the trans temp gauge work? Thanks!

JUst get a cluster out of a denali wiht a trans temp and be done. Just swap clusters and you now have a working trans temp gauge.

    GasGuzzler, a question...

As long as what is made for an '03? The cluster? Will a cluster made for an '03 Tahoe fit my '02?

No, needs to be -03. The entire protocol was changed in 2003.

as a little side note, are there any issues with the odometer readings when you switch gauge clusters? how does that work?

Yes, when you order it. The directions will tell you to write your mileage on a sticker that you put the inside of your door. Thats what I had to do. Not sure if you can transfer it. So the odometer on your dash restarts.

you will have to use the sticker to correct your mileage, or just buy a new cluster and get it programmed to your mileage.
