ok question, my truck will be cruising in 4th gear around 1600 1700 rpm. thats like basically coasting on a flat with barely any resistence, then i'll hit a slight hill and the rpm will jump about 200 but remain in 4th cause i watch it on my hyperpac screen. does my truck have DOD or is that just how overdrive works. thanks in advance

That's the torque converter locking and unlocking. Overdrive just means that the transmission ratio is lower than 1:1. I just learned that second part about a month ago, LOL.
