    i think i have heard that also and im not sure on the price of the kit...it would be cheaper if you pieced it together though

    It's the 20-way that needs rewired. The 80 has two speed sensors (ISS and OSS) so it needs one more connector and two wires run to the PCM.

    I just went on google and found a used 4L80-e for like 1200$. Is that a good price?

    $1200 would be a good price for a low mileage late model unit. I mean, like a 10k mile unit from a 2006 truck.
