71 chevy truck 5.3 need info on fuel pump, etc

I looked at the msd pump and saw it was rated at 40 psi. From what I have read, the 5.3 needs about 55-63 psi. I have no idea if this matters much. I bought today a bosch 72 psi, 39 gph. I do not know if 39 gph is enough. I looked on the web for hours with no luck. Can I remove the vapor line and how does that effect things? I live in Lodi, Ca not far from you. Thanks, Alan

Is it that low of pressure? Interesting. Good lookin out. How much was that bosche pump that sounds like it will work just fine to me if your not goin boosted or crazy high hp. Ya the vapor line I just cut and capped it. Its just one of those smog things, I think like the old charcoal cannister ya know? Oh ya Lodi is just south 15 minutes.
