Who's got the pass it around tool? I know Mark had it and shipped it elsewhere but then what?
I was wondering that myself. What you you use at the dealership to keep the lifters up?
Sure, I'll rent it out whenever. I used it once and I've been trying to sell it ever since. Works great though
~ Forged engine of some type ~ Ball bearing turbo of an unconfirmed size ~ 4L8000 trans ~ Beefy fuel system ~
to hold the lifters up just go to advance or autozone and buy a 48" piece of 5/16 steel brake line cut to 21" pieces out of it. thats what I did and it worked great and only cost like 10 bucks
Master power t-76 kbracing, Intercooled, 11psi, tr220 cam, patriot dual springs, 72lbrs, snow meth, walbro, efans, 80e, tansgo, yank 3200.
At the dealer we don't swap cams without lifters so the answer is nothing.....but what I use in cam only swaps is also....nothing. They'll stay up in the trays unless the engine is hot or has a billion miles on it....then again, varnish might help. Once the pushrods are loosened the engine can be spun over two revs and all the lifters go up and stay there....usually.
