The servo installation is pretty simple, the gears however I would have done unless you have alot of experience with gear swaps.

Yeah, be sure to let that catalytic converter next to the tranny get nice and cool, or this could happen to you:

The cat got me pretty good. Being as impatient as I am, I didn't give it enough time to cool off properly

I wanted to say thanks to all the replies will be working on it this weekend so i will let you know how it turns out again thanks. i am going to be starting at the rear of the truck and moving forward so this will take some time. I have a 4.8 silverado 01 ext.

The parts that i am going to be adding so far is the gears 4.10 and a locker or posi. Then i am going to be moving to the driveshaft and replacing the steel one if an aluminum one. then i am going to the transmission and replacing the servo and adding a transgo shift kit then i am going to do the convert thinking of a 3000. This i am thinking will be good for what ever i decide to do to the engine not sure yet but i want to be able to go upper 12's right now i am stock and i am at 16's so i have a way to go.

When i complete the gears and servo and shift kit i am going to take it to the trake and see what it will do. so i am not expecting a change of all that much but hope to see a better performance in the transmission to have a better 2 and 3rd shift. Well again thanks and i will be writing to let you all know how it goes.

I wanted to add i was at the track last weekend and there was a white chevy single cab. Man he was fast he was in the low 13's I felt like a turtle next to him. I go to the track in baytown usuall ever 2 weeks. Hope to see some of you there like to see what others have done to there trucks. Peace out
