    gasket sealer question

    hey guys i remounted my tailshaft bushing this morning and seems to be fine i need to know what is the correct type of gasket maker to put between the tailhousing and the rest of my trans to make sure i get a good seal when it gets bolted together. the previous stuff was black. thanks all. trying to make it to the track tonight!

    GM 12345739 (has probably changed numbers).

    the best stuff ever to use is honda-bond. it's what they use when they rebuild honda 4wheeler motors. it is tougher than any automotive sealant i have ever used and seals better too. i have to literally use a razor blade to get it off once i gets the cases apart. you can get it from a local honda dealer, or atleast they sell it to me here in dublin.

    I use ultra black or the right stuff most of the time with no issues....

    thanks guys, i ended up buying the GM sealer last weekend from a dealership. all put back together now just havent had time to make sure everythings working right again.
