Need Help ASAP! LQ9 Block I.D.

    Long story short:

May 10th sucked water into motor, take truck to local stealership (only decent mechanics in rural area), bent rod, get insurance to finally agree to pay for GM reman motor rather than rebuild. Get the truck back today, pay my part of the deductible, drive the truck and runs great, but now the A/C isn't working and I've got an ABS light on.

Now, my question is this. Is there any quick way to I.D. my block as an LQ9 and not a LQ4? Yes, my truck is a factory LQ9 truck and they were supposed to put the exact motor back in there, I just want to make sure they did. I'm going to try and get them to fix the A/C (they told me it must have leaked out sitting all this time) and I want to make sure the motor is correct as well before I get into this whole ordeal with them Thanks in advance.

Only way to tell is to scope through a sparkplug hole and see if the piston is dished or flat top....flat top being a LQ9. Other than that they are exactly the same... And from a swap stand point the AC shouldn't have been opened up for a motor swap, just unbolted and rested to the side.

Then all the new cars on the lot leak out the freon as well? They tried to hose you with that excuse. Maybe they had a hose sitting bent in half and it developed a leak.

Yeah, I think they are screwing me on the A/C business. I had the local parts store guy put some R-134 and some dye in this morning. We're going to see if it is leaking anywhere or if they just un-hooked a line they shouldn't have. I googled the engine part number listed on the work order and it shows to be a reman LQ9 gm crate motor. So I hope it is correct.

    +1

We had a flood a couple months ago that took out some dummies' cars that drove into deep water. Some companies OK'd engines over the phone, some came out next day. I had a Geico car that took almost a month to get it done because of the insuance.

Hey everyone. My backyard needed an upgrade and I was desperately saving for a pizza oven. But every time I saved a bit, some other expense came up. I tried a few games to boost the fund, but I just hit a bad streak and lost about 70 bucks. I was so mad at myself. I found spinmama and was skeptical, but decided to try one last time. I put in a bit more and went for a higher-risk game. For a minute, I thought I'd lost it all, then I hit a massive multiplier. I was shocked. It was more than enough to cover the oven. .
