Thread: What Do You Think About These Numbers?

werd, I dynoed my 4.8 with lt headers/intake/exhaust/tune and made 266whp. with a asa cam 226/236 .525/.525 110 lsa I made 317whp. Made more with live tune but never got to dyno it after that.
OP I would get a bigger cam than the 220. I would get as big a cam as I could fit in there. If you dont want to buy LT's look for a cam that does well with stock manifolds. If it was My sdime I would get a turbo.

if you made more hp with same mods and lesser stroke it makes me think somethings for sure off...conveter/trans maybe? they seem to be working well but i wonder if its robbing more power than it should

oh and i dont want to go to big on the cam size because i drive it everyday everywhere, and have a little dry 100hp shot i want to run

First of all the biggest thing that could be throwing the numbers off is the heat. I'm not sure where you live, but it was 101* here in Austin today.

Second, don't be too discouraged about dyno numbers. I've seen guys dyno at under 300 rwhp and run 13s and guys dyno at 500 rwhp and run 15s. A dyno is a tuning tool not a measure of how quick your truck is.

The only way to tell is to take it to the track. You'll find out real quick when and where your problems are based on your 60' as well as your 1/8th and 1/4 mile e.t.s and trap speeds.

    Name: Mark,
God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.
