I just got done with getting quotes from reputable shops around San Antonio and for labor they are all around 300 bucks an axle.

so 600 bucks for a gear and trutrac combo plus 300 for labor plus a little here and there for fluids or whatever and lets call it 1000 for the axle total.

that is just a rough estimate and yes there will be a little bit more money in little parts like seals and whatnot but you get the picture.
