If you're hell bent on a manual, get a ZF 6 speed. Gears 2-5 are decently close and it's a VERY strong unit. More-so than a T56 IMO. 1st gear is silly low so it'll be basically useless unless you're pulling a house down.
Yeah I knew there was never a 4x4 T56 offered, but I figured there was a way to get it in there.
Why wont the T56 bolt to the transfer case? I thought that the auto tranny connected to the TC by way of a short drive shaft. Im pretty familair with the 4x4 system, thats why I didnt see a problem with the swap. Guess I dont know as much as I thought.
Anyway, what is different between the ZF and the T56?
