    DAMN! 408 dyno.

    350rwhp 377rwtq
    408cid
-10cc dish on pistons. Zero milling on heads.
    221 229 595 600 113
stock 5.3 upper end (243 heads)
    4X4 Trail Blazer LT
    Stock exhaust manifolds
    stock pipes with no cats
    No shift kit
I built this to be a mild app. It is after all my wifes' truck.
What is the power loss between engine to rear being a 4X4? I did get what I built, I understand that. I did expect 400's on both ends though. Ed Wright of Fast Chip is my tuner so, the tune is not the issue.
I have built several Fbody cars all over 700rwhp. I am just astounded at the loss of power between the crank to wheels. I have absolutely no bolt ons!
On the positive side, 370 rwtq starts at 1700 and goes up to 377 at 5500. It will yank my boat around. I guess my question is, does this sound right?
Not used to any stroker I have built to be so low and have NEVER done a truck B4. Thanks guys.

    Scott

Okay. Hhhmm....I still feel a bit butt hurt about the #'s. Ed had to cross the SSR fuel mapping with my TB due to the fact of the DOD BS. I pitched that garbage! Is it wrong of me to feel it should of done 400 even with the issue of the handicaps? I keep going through the process as to what I did wrong.LOL

im not sure man, maybe allen will chime in on this issue,,but 408's are known to be badass,im sure u should have atleast 400+
i bet a full exhaust would help an extra 20

I have seen 408's dyno under 300. Usually built for turbo, not running one. Maybe your compression is off. Could be a number of things.

yeah i have built a bunch of 408's. This is my weakest effort by far. 243 heads are a 65cc chamber. The -10cc I calculate to be around 10.1, correct me if my #'s are off. The piping is 3" From the factory. The intake doesn't flow all that bad. The heads are not to bad in stock form either.
I can only attribute the huge loss to the F'd up TB 4X4 and the 9.5" rear. Still....damn. The 408's that dyno around the figure above seem to be 4X4's with a comp around 8 to 8.5. So 10.1 puts me in range of the formula stated.
LOL DAMN IT!!! I still come up with around 400 by my figures. DOH!
