    trans temp gauge

    if i were to take the trans temp gauge off of say a 2500 or a 1500ss would i be able to pop in the empty spot where one would go on my gauge cluster?

    Just change the whole cluster. I put a Denali one in mine. Looks great.

    Did you get it programed with your miles?Is there a thread on how to do this?

    Dealer can only program 03+ for miles. Prior years must be done by a certified rebuilder or somethat that has stolen the hardware and software to do so.

    So I can get a gauge cluster with the temp gauge on it and have it programmed and it will work?

    Cool I can help someone out here.

    I have a 2000 silverado and I bought one of these clusters.
    NEW 99 00 01 02 CHEVY SILVERADO SIERRA TAHOE CLUSTER :eBay Motors (item 350147223186 end time Jul-28-09 16:21:47 PDT)

    They were real easy to work with and were able to program the mileage in with no issues. He does have other clusters available should you wish to make your dash a little unique but the one I bought is in the link above. It looked new to me, it still had the protective film on the display and took all of 20 min to remove the old one and plug the new one in.
