This part that you found is for the GM 14 bolt full-floating diff with 10.5 inch ring gear. It re-uses an open diff case, simply replaces the side & spider gears.

With the semi-floating 9.5 inch ring gear setup that he has, he will need the more expensive diff, and it comes with a diff case, as pictured.

its to bad i cant just slide in a lunch box locker in mine. if that was the case i would be able to get away with a cheap locker.
