At least the 80E swap isn't too hardcore any more, Speed Eng has pretty much got all the guess work out of their kits. Many of their parts are priced far less than others, hopefully they'll stay that way.

Price wise is pretty close to a built 60E with stall as a quality 80E with stall, heck a used 80E swapped in would be less spendy than a built 60E.
