need to be a lil more specific with what you have. This is a 2wd with 7" and 33's....REAL close to a 4wd 1500 with 4"

    Well then I'm probably best example you're going to find. Like I said, I'm a 7" and it's about a 4" on a 4wd. So a 4" on a 2wd is like a leveled 4wd.

Not worth the time/money IMO. Just go all the way. I have a fabtech kit, CST also makes a 7-8" kit (but I've heard a few complaints about their upper control arm configuration.)

There is a ebay kit for under 800.... I don't have any experience with it, but you get what you pay for, and the suspension needs to be strong.

IF you're short on money right now, I'd just throw a body lift on. That will be my next mod, but that will give you 3" for much less money/effort. Will give you a chance to save up and go with a full suspension lift if you want.

On a 3" body, you can fit a 265/75/16 on stockers all day long. 285's fit with a lil trimming (or a 1" spacer above coils)

i hate body lifts personally, I dont like the big lifted truck scene because everybody does a 6 or 7 inch kit. i like a leveled and little lift but still keep power from having smaller tires

We have a stock height 4wd tahoe, same year as my pickup. I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow of difference. My truck is not "big" by any means. My 33's fit on the tahoe. And my mirrors don't even clear the ones on tahoe (which currently only has 265/70's)

With just the spring spacer and small block in rear, you'd have a leveled truck capable of 265's with a lil trimming. What size tires you looking for?

I just finished installing a Rough Country 3" for my 2wd. I gained about 2.5" all around before adding larger tires. In the pictures they are 255/70/16 I'm planning on 285/75/16.
    Before

    Lift

    After

    Spindles

My only complaint is that the shocks they sent me were shorter than the stock shocks on the truck. I'm calling them tomorrow to see about a refund.
