I've never done it on one of our trucks, just f bodys, but it should be pretty close to the same thing. Besides whats listed in the above post you need to cut up the basket that the pump sits in so that fuel will be able to pour into the basket around the pump, because with a walboro there is no provision to keep the jet pump from the original setup that would have filled the basket for the pump to draw fuel from. Once you get it apart it will make more sense.
Opt 2: You could try contacting racetronix (er racetronics not sure on the spelling). They make a very nice kit for the f body cars that is a direct swap, w/ no mods to the basket required maybe they could come up w/ something for you.
opt 3: just get a stock replacement FPM. Unless you plan on a slew of upgrades in the future that will require the use of a walboro. because your stock one will work fine with the mods you have now.
