Unless you seriously abuse it, why would a 4.8L tend to "pop" (assuming pop equals failure) any more frequently than a larger displacement model? My understanding is that the 4.8L actually handles high rev conditions quite nicely.

Oh yeah, on going with the 00' and a 6.0L swap.
