    Which Gears For my Truck

O.K. people I need opinions on what will be the best gear ratio for my Sierra. I do a lot of driving on the freeway, and it's a DD. Pleas keep that in mind. I am also down the road going to swap in a 6.0 lq9 engine.

    I am thinking 3.90 or 4.10

Not much difference in driveability...probably wouldn't notice the difference therefore go for the 4.10's.

Bigger is better in Texas, except the women, California just follows what Texas does. I say 4.10

that's the same tire i have on my 4.10'd 4.8, i get about 20-22 on the highway cruising at 75 mph. i want to say i'm turning a hair under 2500rpm at 75 mph. they helped out a lot in town too, don't have to floor it to get off the line. only downfall is my top speed is 138

switching from a 3.73 to 3.90 is almost pointless because that's such a marginal difference. go ahead with the 4.10, especially if you're going with a 6.0 later - i hear they ain't all that in the low rpms (especially if you build it)

Well it's looking like 4.10 is kicking butt! I was going to go 3.73 that's on my list of things to do, but my truck is a gu6 3.42 as of now in stock form...
