he'll need the engine harness from the year model of his truck ( 99-02)? with a v8, motor wise i intalled a 6.0 from a 04 escalade. so youre fine on the motor, as acc's theres a few i seen on PT.NET up foresale.

I know what all i need to do the swap. Im needing to know what is needed to put the newer motor in the older truck.

So i can use a 03+ motor just have to put a 99-02 harness pcm and intake manifold throttle body correct? Is that all from the older motor that ill need to make the 03+ go into my 99?

i'm doing the same swap, except mine's 4x4 & manual.

my question is will the harness from a 4.8/5spd work?
also, the trans will bolt up as is, right?

the trans issue was the biggest concern because i didn't know if the LS & SBC engines had the same bolt pattern, but as far as everything i've been able to find out, they do

yeah theres a couple of guys on here running turbo 400 trans with the LS engines

so what year harness do i need i have an 04 v6 that has an 04 motor going in im keeping it cable driven, will an 02 harness work??
