The only ones I recall like that are for the Fwd accumulator in the VB itself. That specifiy to use a spring for plastic of aluminum.
I use the TG setup with my GM accumulators (metal) and they're fine.

Yeah Hit Man, that helps. I wanted to confirm that an aluminum 1-2 accumulator piston is okay with the Transgo springs. Just trying to cover my bases.
The deal with the ovate wire springs vs. the round wire ones in the 1-2 accumulator is discussed in the ATSG Update Handbook page 60. It covers the changeover from aluminum to plastic accumulator pistons. Since the TG kit completely changes the setup in the 1-2 accumulator anyhow, no big deal.
