I've been shopping around for a set of used lowering leafsprings for a good price. I got a possible set, they are the Mcgauphy's 2' with about 15K on them and I can get them for $175 shipped to WI (coming from TX). Worth buying?

I have never really heard of someone swapping leaf springs on there truck. Why dont you buy brand new 2" lowering shackles for $50

I am going to agree. The only thing i have seen a different leaf spring for was lifting a 1500 a little bit in the rear.
P.S. sometime in the end of summer if i get a job we are going to have to throw down. Hopefully have a new motor by then![]()

i have heard of people not liking the ride of drop leafs. do you already have drop shackles? being a Z71 does it have blocks in the back that you can take out? or have you already done that?
Sorry I should have been more specific on what I have done. I got 2" shackles and the overload leaf out. I removed all the 4x4 stuff (blocks, front driveshaft, diff unit, axles) and put 2500hd keys in the front to drop it 2". I'm looking to level out the rear now.

I think you you will like them. If its still not low enough just take them and have them de-arched some more.

I use to have ground force 4" drop leafs on my truck; my truck handled like a racecar but rode like a dump truck!! I put 2" shackles and stock leafs back on and it rode a lot better, but I'm thinking of putting the drop leafs back on with a different shock. A buddy of mine has the hotchkis 4" drop leafs and his ride quality wasn't as bad as mine.
