idle quality can be made up for on any cam. there are 4.8's running 112's all ove rthe place. with proper tuning it will work. a 114 lsa cam will have great idle quality. the 112's do not idle well at all. i was running n/a with this cam but i had plenty of mods to support it. as for this cam in a 4.8 yes it will work. but there will have to be more mods to support it. the first being a stall.
