I just got off the phone with someone at Whipple who really knows what's going on. It took a little time to get thru their phone protocals to someone who knew what they were talking about.

This started when I swapped an '04 6.0L into my '00 GMC with the 2 belt Whipple kit on it. The main crank pulley for the whipple would not fit in the new harmonic balancer correctly.

There are 2 solutions that we could come up with.

1. Machine the main Whipple pulley to fit in the new balancer. Whipple has all the engineering drawings so a machinist could do this easily.

2. Convert my compressor from the 2 belt setup to the 1 belt setup. Cost for the conversion will be $650. Sort of steep, but I would have to pay a machinist for 3-5 hours for the other. Plus using the stock balancer as the whipple drive pulley should speed the compressor up a little.

For anyone else looking at converting from the 2 belt setup to the 1 belt setup on their whipple talk to Steve and Whipple.
