No problem with fitting the radiator core
You'll have to fab up some bracket support. My LS1 fans left about a 2.5" gap on each side of the shroud for a 28" radiator. I fabbed up a couple of shroud extensions out of Lexan to help seal the main shroud and improve flow. Note that I installed the fans so the shroud does not touch the radiator fins.
For fan control, you can use a thermostat type controller (i.e., Flex-a-Lite VSC). A more integrated way is to control them with your PCM. In either case you'll need a good fan harness. Nelson Performance sells a custom harness, PCM or VSC, that works seamlessly.
You won't regret the effort to do this mod.
