    Question Metal versus plastic

How is a metal intake tube versus a plastic tube worse? I figured a metal tube would be better at dispursing the heat when I always thought that plastic was more of an insulator. I understand the heat soaking consept, but while running down the road wouldn't the metal tube be more likely to disperse the heat versus a plastic tube?

I think you were correct with you fist thought. The metal is going to hold heat longer than the plastic. I would go plastic. Thats what i used to have.

Well, I aready got the Series 77 shortly after I got the truck. According to the dyno graph on K&N's website I looked at it was only 1 horse difference between the metal and plastic.
I was just reading the " Home Depot'd my CAI and dropped my IAT 20 degrees!" Thread and it got me thinking was all.
