A good rule of thumb when buying any electronics is that you usually get what you pay for

diesel is very low end...really only good if you just need something basic to push your door speakers...the pioneer shallow mount sub sucks something horrible if you want to check out a good quality shallow mount look into the memphis s-class it's like 250 for the sub but WELL worth it...
