    Preloading (oiling) lifters

Ok everything is here and time to get this over with. Only question i have is do i need to preload the lifters. Where you push down on them with a pushrod and get all the air out. I know i need to let them soak, but in what oil my regular i guess and how long also. This is a new one to me.

Soak them in the oil you are going to use in your motor. Stand up the lifters in a bucket or what ever . Submerge the lifters in oil. Make shure the lifters are standing up when you do this. Now get a pushrod and push down the plunger. you will see air bubbles come out of the oil hole in the lifter.Repeat this untill there are no more bubbles. Your lifters are now preloaded. (The oil level in the container you are useing need to be higher than the lifter when the lifter is standing up.)

Do not soak them. Just dip them before you put them in

Soaking is fine. The real question is if you have stock rockers or ones that require valve adjustment. If they are stock OR do not require adjustment, soak them (doesn't even matter sitting on the side or upright) then throw them in.

Heard of them exploding after being "soaked" I'd just dip them before install...
